Heather Hilbrandt
Lead Teacher
My journey began at Church Street in September of 2015 when my oldest daughter started school. I really enjoy the small school atmosphere and the relationships you develop with parents and teachers. My older two attended Church Street and my youngest currently attends Church Street. The small community feel is why we have always felt at home here at Church Street, and we have met many friends along the way.
I have worked in the past as an assistant with both 2 & 3 year olds, and I am currently the lead teacher in the Explorers class. I began working here in the fall of 2021. I really enjoy working with the two- and three-year-olds, and seeing how they progress throughout the year.
Before I had children, I attended Mount Saint Mary College for Elementary Education and Special Education. I have my Bachelors degree in History from SUNY New Paltz.
I live in Red Hook with my husband Chris and we have three daughters, Isabella, Charlotte, and Elizabeth. We also have two dogs, 3 cats, and 3 fish....our house is busy. I am a Girl Scout leader of Daisies and Juniors which ranges from kindergarten to fourth grade. I also enjoy assisting at my church’s youth group for ages 3-5, and our Vacation Bible School during the summer. My family and I enjoy going to Wildwood, New Jersey during the summers.
