My relationship with Church Street began in 2010 when my oldest child began attending the Toddler and Me class. All three of my children have attended Church Street. My favorite thing about this place are the people you meet that remain friends for years to come! Church Street has a very strong sense of community that has been wonderful to be a part of.
I have been working here at Church Street since 2012. I have taught Pre-K, the Three’s, and the Two’s classes over the years. I became the Director in 2021, and also enjoy teaching the two year old class.
I graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2006 with a degree in Childhood Education. I am NYS certified in both Early Childhood and Childhood Education. I also have a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I strongly believe that children learn the best through play and exploration. They learn how to communicate, how to initiate, how to react, and how to have fun and enjoy the world around them.
I live in Red Hook with my husband Jeremy and three children: Allie, Tommy, and Lucy. I also have a dog named Cherry. I am CPR/First Aid certified and also volunteer as a coach for the Red Hook Soccer Club. I also teach Sunday school at my church for ages 3-5. If I have any spare time, I like to relax and watch movies with my kids. I also enjoy planning and going on fun trips with my family. Some of our adventures have taken us to Disney, Washington D.C., Montauk, and The Outer Banks.
I love teaching and everything that goes along with it. I love to see the “small” successes that are actually quite big to a child. It has truly been a joy and honor to teach over the years and be part of so many families. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
